Credit List racking up the wins

Credit List (Justin Huckabone) and Chatelroll (Frank Affrunti) won the harness racing co-features at Vernon Downs on Saturday (September 25), with the former notching his 11th victory of the season.

Credit List ($4.40) captured the $7,000 Open Trot.

Spoiler Alert (Truman Gale) and Discus Hanover (Leon Bailey) both battled for the lead.  Discus Hanover got the lead just before hitting the first quarter first in :27.0.  Credit List made his move going first-up as they reached the top of the backstretch.  He grabbed the lead and led to the half in :56.1.  He cruised to three-quarters in 1:25.0.

As they made the turn for home Jenny Lake came full out on the chase.  Credit List was too strong and won easily is 1:54.2.  Jenny Lake had to settle for second.  Spoiler Alert finished third.

CREDIT LIST REPLAY

Credit List is a 6-year-old gelding by Credit Winner.  He is owned by Jonathan Appelbaum and trained by Huckabone.  It was his 11^th win this season.  He now has 22 career victories.

Chaelroll ($7.20) rolls to easy win in the $7,000 Open Pace.

Warrawee Unique (Leon Bailey) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :26.2 and was first to the half in :54.4.  Chatelroll popped out of the pocket as they went around the final turn.  Warrawee Unique had a short lead at three-quarters in 1:23.2.

As they reached the stretch Chatelroll look like he was shot out of a cannon and flew home in 1:50.0.  Chip Walther (Chris Long) came up to finish second.  Warrawee Unique had to settle for third.

CHATELROLL REPLAY

Chatelroll is a 5-year-horse by Roll With Joe.  He is owned by the Purple Haze Stables and trained by George Ducharme.  It was his ninth win of the season.  He now has 20 career victories.

Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Friday (October 1).  Post time is 6:10 p.m.
