Birthdays and premierships……A weekend of celebrations

Yes the weekend of 25^th and 26^th September was one that will last in the memories of the thousands of Melbourne Demons supporters after a 57 drought was broken in winning the 2021 AFL Premiership.

Then just a few hours later the harness racing “ handsome one “ Poster Boy celebrated his seventh Birthday.

Poster Boy has now commenced his second Stud season after a 30 starts for 22 wins career [retiring perfectly sound]. The Bookings continue to roll in and there is every likelihood he will exceed 120 breedings for the second consecutive season.

He is the fastest son of the Breed changing stallion Somebeachsomewhere to have raced in Australia. It is becoming increasingly obvious that sons of the mighty Somebeachsomewhere are now the trendsetters in the 2 and 3 year old Siring ranks of the Pacing World.

So Poster Boy , who is from an Award winning Artsplace broodmare , is a perfect choice for mares of the Western Ideal / Western Hanover , Cam Fella and yes the Artsplace sirelines.

His first foals are now arriving – correct and colourful. The word colourful is maybe not what we would expect of a son of Somebeachsomewhere but Poster Boy does have some splashes of white on his anatomy. There have been a number of chestnut foals sired by him to date and on closer examination we have found a chestnut connection in his pedigree. His third Dam Village Secretary was a chestnut and sired by a chestnut stallion Armbro Omaha [ more about him later ].
