Cream Ridge, NJ – September 28, 2021 – The Standardbred Retirement Foundation, (SRF) has an opening as a Trainer-Barn Manager in Cream Ridge, NJ. Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years of horse experience in the area of training horses under saddle; managing a herd of more than 40 horses for injuries and general health. SRF assists between 500-800 Standardbreds annually that are tagged for slaughter.
This candidate should have some perspective on the issue. The position includes training horses to the saddle and gait training; working with adopters; organizing assistance from volunteers; working with the veterinarian, farrier and dentist, horse event planning and other responsibilities.
The candidate must have superior organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task. This is not a show horse operation, it is suited for someone with passion for the well being of horses. The position offers medical coverage, paid time off, and holiday pay.
