$800,000 sale topper opening night at Lexington

Exile, #62 on the first night of the harness racing Lexington Selected Yearling Sale Tuesday, was the sale topper of the evening program, fetching $800,000.

A filly by Walner from the Donato Hanover mare Swan Hot Mama, was consigned by Diamond Creek Farm and was purchased by Nancy Takter, Agent, of Allentown, NJ.

Exile is a half-sister to Repentance, 2,1:56.1f; 3Q1:53.3 ($257.459) and Altar, 2Q1:54.3; 31:51.2-’21 ($129,773).

The second highest bid on the first night was $750,000 paid for #113, Mandrill, a filly by Chapter Seven from the Muscle Massive mare, Steamy Windows.

She was purchased by Marcus Melander, Agent of New Egypt, NJ and was cosigned by Concord Stud Farm, Agent.

Steamy Windows is a full sister world the great Gimpanzee 2,1:54.3; 3,1:51.1f; 4,1:50 ($2,701,075) and Iteration 2,1:53.3; 3,1:53.1-‘21; BT1:52.3-‘21 ($596,292).

Next on the sale topper list was #54, Earthquake Bi, a colt, also by Walner from the   mare, Dream Child, who brought a final bid of $620,000. The colt was cosigned by Hunterton Sales Agency, Agent and was purchased by Ken Jacobs of Baldwinsville, NY.

Earthquake Bi is a full brother to top three-year-old trotting filly, You Ato Dream, 2,1:54.2f; 3,1:52.2-’21 ($393,698).

Next on the price list for $500,000 was the royally bred Detroit City. The colt, a son of Muscle Hill from the Andover Hall mare, Danae, was purchased by Robert Lindstrom, Agent, of Boden, Sweden and was consigned by Cane Run Farm, Agent.

This colt is a full brother to world champion Propulsion 3,1:52.3; 4,1:52.1 ($920,029) and Dream Together 2,1:56.1; 3,1:53.2f; 4,1:51.3 ($801,782) and a half-brother to D’Orsay 2,2:00.1; 3,1:54.4; 4,1:51.4; BT1:51.2 ($445,732).

We want to congratulate Kountry Lane Standardbreds on their selling of their Hip # 53 Knights Tale a Captaintreacherous full brother to Workin Ona Mystery that was promoted on www.harnesslink.com and was purchased by T Wier of East Aurora, NY. This yearling was consigned by Anvil And Lace Farm as Agent.

For interest 14 Captaintreacherous yearlings sold for an average of $225,500 an outstanding result for the hottest pacing stallion in the world at present.
