Tiger Tara was brilliant on the racetrack and now his progeny are starting to impress.
The $2.3million Grand Circuit winning pacer was tested as a stallion by trainer Kevin Pizzuto and bred three foals in his inaugural breeding season.
Those ‘test’ foals all stepped out at the green trials at Menangle last Wednesday for Pizzuto headlined by King Tiger who spaced his rivals by more than 30m.
Watch the replay below keeping an eye Pizzuto’s black and white silks:
In the other green trial, Pizzuto produced Tiger Tee, a trotting filly, as well as Tigerlicious, a pacing filly.
Watch the replay here:
“I bred Tiger Tara to three of my mares as a test and I’m rapt with the results and love them all,” said Pizzuto.
“I think Tiger Tara has the makings of being right up there with the best stallions.
“His progeny are great to work with and are cleanly gaited.
“They have good heads on them, straight legs and just a great confirmation overall.
“The horses that green trialled the other day, it was the first time they have been to the track and all showed a lot of promise.
“Tiger Tee is a trotter and has been a deadest trotter since the day she was born.
“Darren Reay (Medowie Lodge) has some Tiger Tara yearlings and they are showing more promise than the ones I trialled the other day.”
Tiger Tara is standing this season at Yirribee Pacing Stud.
