CHESTER, Pa. — Following recent Open-level wins at both Harrington and Yonkers, Jack’s Legend N ($2.60) made his return to Harrah’s Philadelphia a winning one, pulling the pocket and striding clear to an emphatic 1:49.4 win over his five harness racing foes in Sunday’s (Oct. 17) featured $16,200 top-level conditioned pace.
Dexter Dunn pushed forward with the 7-year-old Bettor’s Delight gelding, and the pair cleared Lyons Steel through a :27.1 first quarter before yielding control to Workin Ona Mystery with a circuit to go. After drafting through middle sectionals of :54.4 and 1:21.4, Jack’s Legend N re-emerged off the far turn, overpowering Workin Ona Mystery and evading the late challenge of runner-up Stone Hanover (Corey Callahan) by a widening 2-1/2 lengths. Workin Ona Mystery (Tim Tetrick) faded to third.
Trainer Josh Green co-owns 27-time winner Jack’s Legend N with Rich Lombardo Racing LLC, David Kryway and Eric Good.
The feature win was one of three on the day for Dunn. Todd McCarthy and Tim Tetrick also registered hat tricks on the 14-race card.
Racing returns to Harrah’s Philadelphia on Thursday (Oct. 21); post time is 12:25 p.m. EDT.
