Shady Madam continues winning ways

Harness racing driver Jared Moyer and Shady Madam blasted off the starting gate as the wings unfolded, and little did they know then, it was the winning move in taking Wednesday night’s $12,000 Open Handicap for Mares at Rosecroft Raceway.

Moyer set fractions of :27.1, :56.2, and 1:25, and held off Arts And Flowers and HS Shauna in 1:54.2.

The five year old chestnut mare by Shadyshark Hanover won for the second straight week and eighth time this year for owner Robert Cacamese and trainer Steve LeBlanc.

Ken Weckstein, Russell Foster and Brian Burton had driving doubles while trainer Ken Schlotzhauer won twice.

Rosecroft Raceway will race Saturday night at 7:15 instead of Sunday this weekend. Patrons are invited to come bet on the Saturday night card as well as the Breeders Cup card.
