Robin Bakker teamed the winner for trainer Paul Hagoort. The 7/10 favorite Vernissage Grif (7m Varenne) was a close second for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro and 15/1 Zarenne FAS (6m Varenne) was third for Rick Ebbinge and trainer Jerry Riordan.
In the Payday TCT Derby (purse 44,000€, 1609 meters autostart, two year olds) the 4/10 favorite Gio Cash (2m Victor Gio-Give Me Love-Judge Joe) scored in 1.13.5kr. Dion Tesselaar teamed the D.P. Tesselaar trainee to the impressive victory. Mistral was second for Jeffrey Mieras at 32/1 and the 27/1 Dispason (2m Maharajah) was third for Micha Brouwer.
In other European news the Mommert family reportedly acquired Tetrick Wania (2m Muscle Hill-Random Destiny-Ken Warkentin) from Riina Rekila. This colt, a recent winner at Jagersro in 1.12.8kr, is a half-brother to the young superior sire Walner, a son of Chapter Seven. Tetrick Wania
