With a daytime high of 65 the three-year-old colt and gelding pacers in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders
Fund were treated to non-December temps to start off their Dover Downs series Thursday in three $20,000 divisions.
In the early non-wagering event, Squeak On By (Nuclear Breeze-Sequoia Seelster) did just that with a late brush at the wire in 1:56.
He earned a new lifetime record for driver Roger Plante, Jr. and trainer Steve LeBlanc. Squeak On By is owned and bred by Dr. Bill Solomon of New Freedom, PA.
Henrico (Montrell Teague) was second followed by Bags Of Interest (Jason Thompson) in third.
The first half of the Daily Double was the second division, and it went to the Governorās Day final winner, the appropriately named First State Joni (Delmarvalous-Jonigold) in 1:55.4.
Driven by Barton Dalious and trained by his dad, Bart, he is owned and bred by Frank Delibertiās The Wiz Kids Stable,LLC.
Place went to Subban (Montrell Teague) and the show horse was Spinologist (Mike Cole).
FIRST STATE JONI REPLAY
Second half of the double went to the wagering favorite Downtown Show (Delmarvalous-Slow Down) in 1:55.3 for driver Allan Davis and trainer Les Givens.
Owned by Henry Faragalli,III, Arthur Feeney, and Nanticoke Racing, Inc., Downtown Show was bred by Winbak Farm.
Second was Mr. Overbite (Montrell Teague) followed by Zās Dream (Art Stafford, Jr.).

JACK’S LEGEND N IMPRESSES IN OPEN PACE
Jackās Legend N was impressive in winning the Open Handicap Pace at Dover Downs on Thursday night.
Assigned post 8, it did not deter his chances. Driver Dexter Dunn, aggressively, left from the extreme outside and had to face early challenges from Mack and Shoobee Doo A toward the quarter. Jackās Legend N finally cleared for the lead nearing the half and set race fractions into swirling winds.
The quarter was reached in 26.4. The half was paced in 55.3 (28.4). Dorsoduro Hanover challenged first over from fifth and stalked Jackās Legend N to the three quarters in 1:22.3, a 27 flat quarter. The two paced home together as a team into the lane.
Jackās Legend N had something left as he won by three quarters of a length as the Ā½ betting favorite and paced the mile in 1:50.1. He paid $3 to win. Shoobee Doo A remained in the pocket and finished 2nd for trainer Dylan
Davis and driver Corey Callahan. Mack saved ground along the inside and finished 3rd for trainer Joe
Columbo. Mike Cole drove.
