Eurobond returns dividends in Open

WASHINGTON, PA, Dec. 8, 2021 — Eurobond led every step in fashioning a convincing harness racing victory in Wednesday’s $16,000 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Perlucky challenged for the lead early, but Eurobond and Jim Pantaleano gave him the cold shoulder and forced him to a parked-out mile.

The pair knew what they were doing, as Eurobond faced no serious threats thereafter and cruised home in 1:55.4. The pocket sitting Rainbowinthewest was second, 2 lengths back, while Lucky Matter rallied for show.

Christen Pantaleano trains Eurobond, a 6-year-old son of Love You-True Diva who extended his career earnings to $397,825, for Matthew Morrison.
