Down Under Winners with Carter Dalgety

Down Under pacer wins first harness racing start on North American racetrack.

Smart pacer hailing from down under I’m Burlington N entered a racetrack in the states for the first time on Monday. The destination was Dover Down in Delaware where his new trainer Joshua Parker put Art Stratford Jr in the race bike. The 5yo gelding started from post position no2 and was eased as the gate released to find a nice position in the running line. As the half was passed in 56.1, I’m Burlington was pointed into the running line to find a nice cover. But was soon sent three wide on his own to make a run up to leaders. Soon levelling up, when entering the stretch he put pay to the leader and was able to win by 1 and a half lengths.

Clocking 1:53.1. The win for the son of American Ideal was the ideal start for his northern hemisphere harness racing career. While racing down under I’m Burlington was the winner of 7 races and placed a further 8 times.
