This Monday morning in France there were 35 horses engaged to the 2022 Prix d’Amerique that will have an estimated purse of $1 million euros.

There are 11 qualified plus the Cornulier winner. That group includes Galius, Ganay de Banville, Feydeau Seven. Rebella Matters, Hohneck, Etonnant, Cokstile, Vivid Wise As, Billie de Montfort, Diable de Vauvert, Face Time Bourbon and Flamme du Goutier.

From the engaged list the next six, based on life earnings, would be Bahia Quesnot, Davidson du Pont, Delia du Pommereux, Vitruvio, Don Fanucci Zet and Zacon Gio. We will know on Thursday when the final field is set.

On tap Sunday will also be the Sulky World Cup, a separate race for four and five year olds with each for a 300,000€ purse. The top performers in Europe will be on hand. The four-year-old test will have rivals Dusktodawn Boogie, Ideal Ligneries and Callmethe breeze as likely starters.
