Yanks Dugout won his second straight in the harness racing Open Handicap Trot at Dover Downs on Tuesday night.
Three trotters left in unison at the start of the race. Morairtime and Quiksilvr Bluechip parked Northern Express three wide, passing the opening quarter in 26.4. The track condition was labeled good. Northern Express continued on the engine and trotted to the half in 56.1 (29.2). The three quarters was reached in 1:25.2 (29.1).Ā
Steuben Hanover pulled to the outside at the 3/8ths and marched 1st over and coverless down the backstretch. Yanks Dugout, piloted by Tony Morgan, shadowed that cover 2nd over on the rim.Ā
The 2-1 betting favorite Morairtime watched the action from the pocket. At the top of the stretch Yanks Dugout launched a 4 wide brush and won by a neck in 1:54.3. He paid $7.60 for the win.Ā

Quiksilvr Bluechip was 3rd for part owner, trainer and driver Victor Kirby. Scuola Hanover, Shes Pukka N and Soho Burning Love A battle it out in the $25,000 Mares Open Pace on Wednesday night. The race will be the 12th. Tony Morgan and Tim Tetrick won 3 races each on the betting card. Post Time on Wednesday at Dover Downs is 4:30 pm.
