Pocket-rocket triumph for Moments Of Joy

Moments of Joy benefitted from a perfect journey by harness racing driver Victor Kirby and won the mares condition pace at Dover Downs on Wednesday night.

Feeling Sweet and driver Mike Cole were parked to the quarter and rolled on, setting fractions of :26.1, :55.1 (:29) and 1:23.2. (28.1).

Disturbed Hanover raced 1st up past the half but stalled for her bid at the three-quarter pole. Moments Of Joy and driver Victor Kirby waited patiently in the pocket.

They surged late into the passing lane and won by a neck in 1:52. She paid $5.40 as the public’s choice.

Moments Of Joy (Western Terror) is owned and trained by Bryan J. Truitt of Selbyville, Delaware.

Feeling Sweet cut out the race fractions and finished 2nd for trainer Joe Columbo and driver Mike Cole. Disturbed Hanover was 3rd for driver-trainer W. Bart Dalious.
