Victorian based horseman Nathan Purdon will begin his Sydney raid at Menangle today.
The New Zealand-born trainer, son of top horseman Mark Purdon, will start maiden three-year-old Zeus Dan in race six.
Purdon has his sight set on the heats of the New South Wales Oaks at Menangle this Saturday night with his talented filly Amore Vita.
The three-year-old has won her last four starts including the Group 1 Vicbred final last December and bounced back with success in the Gold Chalice at Melton on February 5.
In this raid Purdon also has his quality mare Spellbound who will race in the $200,000 Ladyship Mile at Menangle in a fortnight.
Spellbound received an invitation to the feature after winning the Ladyship Cup at Melton last Saturday week.
Spellbound raced at Menangle last year and won the Group 3 Ladyship Stakes where she rated a career best 1:50.1.
