Harness racing Standardbred breeder, Michelle Crawford, of Crawford Farms in New York and trainer, Tony Alagna, got together to speak out in favor of the restoration of freeze brands as a mandatory part of registration for all U.S. Standardbreds.
They join the voices of harness racingās winningest driver, Dave Palone, who was the first to draw attention to the importance of visible IDās, along with another Hall of Fame horseman David Miller and his daughter, Devan.
The hashtags āStandforthebrandā and āIstandforthebrandā have been strong on social media, bringing awareness to the upcoming vote by Directors of the United States Trotting Association at the National meeting, March 11 – 13, to make brands mandatory, along with chip implantation, as part of the registration process.
