Champion pacer King Of Swing will have his last race start in Australian harness racing’s richest race tonight.

The $1million Miracle Mile at Menangle will close the curtain on the son of Rocknroll Hanover’s stellar career.

King Of Swing will be retired from racing after tonight’s Miracle Mile.

Part-owner Mick Harvey of Go Racing said it was not an easy decision to make.

“It is his last start – decision not easy, he has been an amazing horse,” Harvey said.

King Of Swing will take into tonight’s Miracle Mile earnings of $2,840,546 with a record of 41 wins and 18 placings in 81 starts.

The dual Miracle Mile champion will chase history tonight aiming to become the first horse to ever win three Miracle Mile features.

King Of Swing will retire in career best form having set a personal best 1:47.9 when winning the Allied Express Sprint last start.

After starting his career in New Zealand, King Of Swing raced in Western Australia for a year before heading to New South Wales in 2020.

Since his move east to the Cobbitty Equine Farm he has had 32 starts for 24 wins and seven placings.
