On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Points North is in high demand if you go by the fact that the horse has recently topped a Preferred Equine sale. It could well be the case that the winning bidder saw this Woodbine-Mohawk Park Preferred Pace effort from last Saturday and just had to have him! Watch as James McDonald works the horse to the lead and from there strides away to close in a slick 1:49.3
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
Sundees Son, widely regarding as the best trotter in Australasia, was in record-breaking form once again at Addington on Friday taking out the (Gr1) Fred Shaw Memorial NZ Trotting Championship over the 2600m mobile journey. The time of the victor, 3-10.4 , easily going under the previous mark set by Harriet Of Mot in 2017. He’s very near unbeatable at the moment! watch the fine display of trotting here.
