On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Amanda Rando covered the $100,000 Riverina Mares Championship from Wagga on Saturday night which saw a competitive field contest the major event over a 2270m mobile distance. The Brad Hewitt trained mare Yarraman Bella proving too strong for her race rivals in the run to the post. View the slick feature below.
NEW ZEALAND FEATURE
The Country Cups Final for 2022 took place at Addington on Saturday night and uncovered a genuine potential star in the Geoff and James Dunn trained The Falcon. Contested over an extreme 3200m stand distance the feature was an exciting watch with race favourite Allamericanlover seemingly having too much for her race rivals as she cleared out at the top of the straight. The Falcon had other ideas though! Watch the battle below.
We’ll be back with more replays of the week in seven days time.
