Here the 1.1/1 odds favorite Joyeuse (3f First de Retz-Tilda) scored in 1.15.5kr for jockey Mathieu Mottier who also trains this one for breeder/owner Danielle Mottier. This was the third career victory for Joyeuse, now a winner of 100,650€.
The second choice at 1.2/1 odds, Junon du Leard (3f Briac Dark), was a distant second with P.Ph. Ploquin in the irons for trainer A.P. Grimault. Third home was 16/1 Java de Fael (3f Charly du Noyer) with David Thomain the jockey for conditioner William Bigeon.
In the Prix Henri Levesque (Gr. II, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, five-year-old females) the 3.7/1 odds Happy Valley (5f Royal Dream-Mysterious Valley) scored impressively in 1.12.8kr. She rallied from near the back in the stretch for owner/driver Jean Philippe Dubois, trainer Philippe Moulin and Ecurie Victoria Dreams.
This was the winner’s 11th career victory now for 206,350€ earned. She looks and travels much like her Prix d’Amerique winning sire. The 13/1 odds Hellade du Goutier (5f Prodigious) held second for Gabriele Gelormini, trainer Sebastien Guarato and Ecurie Saint Martin. Hanna des Molles (5f Village Mystic) was third as the 3/2 odds favorite with Alexandre Abrivard up.
The Prix du Treport (purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, 6-10 year olds European) saw the 1/10 favorite Ampia Mede SM (6f Ganymede-Polimpia Slide SM) score in 1.12.9kr. Franck Nivard teamed this Fabrice Souloy trainee that Stall SE Fin owns.
This was her 13th victory in France and her career earnings advanced to 573,496€. 14.1 Decoloration (9f Prince d’Espace) was second for reinsman Gabriele Gelormini, Third was 13/1 Victor Ferm (8m Nad Al Sheba) for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire.
In the Gr. II Prix Robert Auvray (purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, five year old males) the 7/10 odds favorite Hooker Berry (5m Booster Winner-Osaka Berry( scored in 1.12.3kr for driver Jean Michel Bazire, trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Michel Aldenise. This was the winner’s ninth career win now for 775,320€ in career earnings.
Have A Dream (5m Royal Dream) was second at 7.6/1 odds for trainer/driver Alexandre Abrivard, Hip Hop Haufor (5m Up And Quick) rallied for third with breeder/owner/trainer Christian Bigeon at the lines. Hatchet Man and Helgafell were miscue dq’s.
In the Prix de Chateau Gaillard (purse 65,000€, 2700 meters, 6–10-year-olds Europeans) the 5/10 favorite Kennedy (7m Joke Face-Lisa America) scored impressively in 1.13.3kr. He now has five wins in France for 239,311€ in life earnings. Gabriele Gelormini teamed the H.E. Bondo trainee that is owned by Stall Panamera Racing. Kennedy defeated 25/1 Fauley Buissonay (7m Village Mystic) and 6.6/1 Heading Reference (8m Scarlet Knight).
In the Gr. II Prix Gai Brillant (purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, monte) the 13/1 odds upsetter Jubile Prior (3m Prince de Montfort-Dotation Prior) scored in 1.15.1kr for jockey Aurelien Desnarres and breeder/owner/trainer Sylvain Desmarres. He now sports career earnings of 125,890€ with three victories.
Jolly Roger (3m Drole de Jet) was second at 2.8/1 odds with Adrian Lamy up for trainer Tomas Malmqvist. 13/1 Jurgos de Guez (3m Briac Dark) took third for jockey J.Y. Ricart and trainer Jean Michel Bazire.
