Bettor’s Delight gelding Swagger Man grabbed an impressive harness racing win for his big group of owners last night at Addington Raceway.
Despite racing greenly throughout the running the well named Swagger Man managed to break through for his maiden win after a string of minor placings on the track at his last couple of runs.
“He has got a bit of swagger about him, with a few little tricks and a lot of personality and we quite like him,” driver David White said after the race.
“We chucked him in the deep end a little bit as a two year old at his first four or five starts and now after a wee break he has come back and run three really good races,” he said.
Trained by David and Stacy White, Swagger Man led all the way and beat Bellissimo Acquisto by three quarters of a length, with three and a half lengths back to William Gees Legacy in third.
