Closing with flurry in the stretch after getting a third-over trip, In The Mood past by five rivals to capturing the 3rd race $21,000 feature pace Friday at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The fillies and mares non-winnerās saw Emmy Lou Hayes and driver Trevor Henry the first on the lead with My Only Sunshine (Sylvain Filion) taking the two-hole trip to the first quarter in :27.1.
Then past the half mile in :57.3, Got Sexy Scars and driver James MacDonald moved first-over from third place with Quebecoise (Travis Cullen) second-over and In The Mood and driver Bob McClure following the outside flow third-over.
Past the three-quarters in 125.3 and on the turn for home, Got Sexy Scars was able to start wearing down Emmy Lou Hayes, but it was In The Mood and McClure flying down the center of the stretch and nailing Got Sexy Scars at the wire by a quarter of a length in 1:52.3. My Only Sunshine was third.
