100,000€ Criterium du Vitesse Basse-Normandie

Ce Bello Romain (10g Jam Pridem-Miss Echo Bella) impressively won the Gr. II Criterium du Vitesse Basse-Normandie (purse 100,000€, 1609 meters autostart, 15 International starters) at Argentan, France, timed in a modest 1.13.2kr.

Anthony Barrier teamed the S.G, DuPont owned and trained winner of 24 races for 917,435€ earned. He was off as the second choice at 2.6/1 odds and defeated the 1.9/1 favorite Fakir du Lorault (7m Vaillant Cash) reined by Francois Lecanu. This one was placed second due a dq of a second finisher Rebella Matters in late stretch.

Placed third was 94/1 Copsi (10g L’Ocean d’Urfist) with Dominik Locqueneux the trainer/driver. Mister F. Daag (7m Conway Hall) and Elvis du Vallon (8m Reve de Beylev) were placed fourth and fifth.

On Sunday at Vermo Helsinki Finland is the Finlandia Ajo where 10 well-regarded performers will battle over 1620 meters autostart for the 190,000€ purse. Cokstile, Next Direction and Gareth Boko are in the field.
