Hey Livvy, given a perfect second-over drive by Jordan Stratton, was able to collar the race favorite at the wire in winning the $39,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Trot Thursday at Yonkers Raceway.
The 8th race feature got underway with Kenziesky Hanover and driver Jason Bartlett scooting to the early lead and taking the field to the opening quarter mile in :28.3.
With You Will Be Queen (Scott Zeron) sitting the pocket-trip, Kenziesky Hanover continue to cut the mile past the half in :58.1 with only Hey Livvy starting up first-over from fifth place.
Gaining ground down the backstretch Hey Livvy was second on the outside coming after Kenziesky Hanover as they past the three-quarters in 1:26.1.
As they came down the stretch, both mares duked it out until the final strides to the wire when Hey Livvy surged to win by a neck over Kenziesky Hanover in 1:54.3. No Mas Drama (Tyler Buter) was second.
