Frozen Hanover continued his hot start to his sophomore harness racing campaign as the $325,000 Harrisburg purchase scored for the second time in four starts at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (May 12).
Driver Bob McClure worked the colt into the pocket from post 10 and followed odds-on favourite The Boss Said (Sylvain Filion) through :27.4 and :57.3 first-half splits before making a move deep into the third panel. Frozen Hanover closed in as they hit three-quarters in 1:25.2 and battled clear in deep-stretch for the win in a career-best 1:52.3. Stone Carver (Austin Sorrie) finished second despite a late push. Jabberwocky (Doug McNair) was third.
