Brumby was five lengths the best as he lowered his lifetime mark in the first harness racing leg of the New Brunswick Breeders Stakes on Exhibition Park’s opening day on Saturday (May 14).
Driver Mark Bradley gave the son of Pang Shui the lead in the three-horse first division group of colts and had little more work to do as the gelding paced through fractions of :29.2, 1:00, and 1:29.1 and sailed away to a 1:59 romp. Big Time Brawler (Michael Downey) had place locked up at the half as Theodore J Down (Stephen Mason) was well back. The win price was $2.10.
