WASHINGTON, PA, June 3, 2022 — Icanflylikeanangel (Archangel) held off a determined challenge from Perlucky and Donatover to notch his second straight harness racing victory in Friday’s $16,000 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Icanflylikeanangel enjoyed a :29 second-quarter breather on top but soon had to deal with the uncovered bid of Perlucky. The two dueled for more than a quarter mile, but the 8-year-old gelding hung tough for Mike Wilder and edged Perlucky by a head in 1:53.2. Donatover shot up the Lightning Lane for show.
