Hanover Raceway’s first card of the year on Saturday (Jun. 4) wasn’t only a big night for local harness racing fans – Westwardho Hanover mare Reademandweep saw the winner’s circle for the first time in 32 races as she took the sixth dash.
Natasha Day provided the four-year-old with a smart steer, putting her in the pocket behind Patwearsthepants (Bob McClure) through :29.1, 1:00, and 1:30.4 fractions. As the field swung for the lane, Day sent her charge three-wide and urged the mare clear of the first-over Anotherstarisborn (Travis Henry) for the victory in 2:02.3. Century Havana (Robert Jenkins Jr.) finished third. The winner returned $4.30.
