Grove City, Ohio – Three-year-old harness racing colt pacers will take to the track, Friday, June 10, for the second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series (BSS) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.  Six divisions with a total of 56 pacers will highlight the 17-race program.  Each division has a purse of $17,500.

Four of the seven divisional winners from the first leg of the BSS will return, hoping to make it two wins in as many legs.  Bettor By Seaside, Dirty Harry Too, Fluff Yeahh, and Self Made were winners in the opening leg at Miami Valley Raceway on May 1.

In the first division, Shell Yeah will look for his fifth win in seven starts.  The son of Downbytheseaside is trained by Brain Boring.  Justin Irvine will be in the bike.  Shell Yeah is the favorite at 3-1.

The second division looks to be a wide-open affair as six of the ten colt pacers are looking for their first win of the year.  Steve Carter trainee Tre Cruz (Yankee Cruiser) will drop down from the Ohio Sires Stakes ranks.  Brett Miller will drive the gelding.

Self Made (Fear The Dragon) and Aaron Merriman will try to win in the BSS for the second time this year.  Trained by Ron Potter, the gelding will do battle with Odds On Capitalism who is the favorite at 2-1 and second choice Dragononthebeach.  Odds On Capitalism is trained by Virgil Morgan Jr. and will be driven by Brett Miller, while Tyler Smith will drive Dragononthebeach for trainer Kelly O’Donnell.

Trainer Todd Luther will send out Eminem Hanover (Downbytheseaside) in search of his fifth win of the campaign in the fourth division.  The colt makes his first start in Buckeye Stallion Series.  Trevor Smith will drive the 9-5 favorite.

In the fifth division, longshot Dirty Harry Too will look for the magic again.  In the first leg, Dirty Harry Too by Nob Hill High with Tony Hall driving was a 26-1 long shot and bested the field for trainer Mark Winters Jr.  This time, Dirty Harry Too is tied for the longest shot on the board at 15-1.  The favorite is Robin’s Art (Art Official).  Trained by Kent Saunders, the gelding will have Tyler Smith in the sulky.

In the final division, two first leg winners will meet.  Bettor By Seaside (Downbytheseaside) will be driven by Tyler Smith for trainer Dean Glispie while Bret Schwartz trainee Fluff Yeahh (Pet Rock) will have Trevor Smith driving.  The early morning favorite is Party Hill Boy (Racing Hill).  Trained by Virgil Morgan Jr. and driven by Mitchell Cushing, Party Hill Boy will be looking for his fifth win of the year.

The six BSS divisions are scheduled for races 3, 9, 11, 13, 15, and 16.  First race post time at Eldorado Scioto Downs is 3:15PM.
