Melissa Beckwith scores trainer Grand Slam

Harness racing trainer Melissa Beckwith showed why she is the leading trainer at Saratoga Raceway Friday (June 10) sending out four winners on the race card from her stable.

Three of Beckwith’s wins came with Jimmy Devaux in the sulky.

The first win for Beckwith came in the 3rd race co-feature pace when Devaux won with Vergeofgreatness N ($2.30) in 1:54.4.

The very next race 4, a co-feature trot, saw Insanity ($2.80) win for driver Billy Dobson and Beckwith in 1:57.2. Then it was the 6th race pace where Beckwith sent out the lone three-year-old in the field, Get Extreme ($4.30), who won for Devaux in 1:56.

The fourth winner of the night came in the 7th race co-feature pace when Beckwith and Devaux teamed up with Righthererightnow ($3.30) to win wire-to-wire in 1:55.1.

Both Devaux and Billy Dobson each had driving triples on the evening program.
