Big M & SBOANJ partner on drawing members

East Rutherford, NJ – The Meadowlands Racetrack and the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) have joined in partnership to encourage SBOANJ members to attend the races at the Meadowlands on Friday and Saturday nights during the Championship harness racing meet which runs through Saturday, August 6.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic we have seen a decline in horsemen attending the races, so we wanted to partner with the SBOANJ to encourage their membership to return to the track,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO & GM of the Meadowlands Racetrack. “We hope this promotion will provide an incentive for horsemen to come to the track for a night of not only world-class racing but also world class buffet dining.”

A current SBOANJ member in good standing with a horse racing that evening will be selected to receive dinner for four in Trotters and live race programs each Friday and Saturday night through August 5^th via a random weekly drawing.

To participate in the weekly drawings, SBOANJ members should make their dining reservations as usual with the Meadowlands by calling 201-The-BigM and mentioning that they are a SBOA member.

Every Thursday a random drawing will be conducted with two names being selected – one dining on Friday and one dining on Saturday. Diners will also be selected for the three Thursday race cards (June 30, July 7 and August 4).

“We want to see our members back at the Meadowlands enjoy an exciting night at the races,” said SBOANJ President Mark Ford. “We hope our members will take advantage of this promotion.”

This dining promotion will begin Friday, June 17 and run through Friday, August 5.
