Armycaptin Hanover (Captaintreacherous) made it three consecutive winner’s circle visits after winning another harness racing Open Pace at Fraser Downs on Monday (Jun. 13).
Mach Steady (John Abbott) beat the gelding to the front in a :29.4 opening quarter, but Kelly Hoerdt right-lined his trainee as they passed the stands and sent him to the front. Armycaptin Hanover then laid down :56.4 and 1:26.2 middle splits.
Mach Steady re-rallied in the stretch but was a length short as Armycaptin Hanover completed the mile in front in 1:56.
Redneck Jim (Scott Knight) finished third. The win price was $2.40.

Armycaptin Hanover has now won 25 times and earned $168,351 in 91 lifetime tries. He had not won an Open from Mar. 6 to May 16 before kicking off his win streak on May 30. Hoerdt co-owns the six-year-old with Blair Corbeil. Both live in Beaumont.
Hoerdt won five of the day’s 13 dashes as a trainer and a driver.
Fraser Downs has two cards remaining before the track goes on break until September. It continues action on Monday, Jun. 20
