The sharp Jitters Bettor (Betterthancheddar) has provided harness racing trainer/driver Alvin Hamilton all four of his wins so far this season.
The four-year-old mare scored again on Monday (Jun. 13) at Grand River Raceway for her second straight win.
Hamilton instructed the mare to make a brazen dash to the lead from post seven and got her there with a two-wide charge through the :28.2 first quarter. She strolled to the half in :58.4 before Lyons Believer (Anthony Haughan) kicked off a first-up bid on the third turn.
Jitters Bettor supplied more speed to three-quarters in 1:28.1 and put Lyons Believer in the pocket as they turned for home. Hamiltonās mare bent but refused to break in the stretch, getting to the line a half-length clear under frantic urging in 1:58.
Lyons Believer was second. In This Together (Tyler Moore) held off Dustins Girl (Scott Coulter) for show.
