Freshman pacing series coming to Ocean Downs

Ocean Downs announced today (Jun. 14) the Future Hope Series for two-year-old pacers is coming to the harness racing track next month.

It is for Maryland Sires Stake or Maryland Fund eligible preferred.

Nominations are $100.

1st Leg Thursday July 7th (1) mile $7500.

Draw date Monday July 4th at 9:00 am.

2nd Leg Thursday July 14th (1) mile $8500.

Draw date Monday July 11th.

3rd & Final Leg Thursday July 21st (1) mile $12,500 added.

Draw Date Monday July 18th.

No more than 2 commonly owned or trained will be eligible for the “final.”

Top 8 money earners will compete for the final.

Only 2 will be eligible which will be decided by the next highest money earners that are not a conflict.
