CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Incredible Two (Angus Hall) has been taking on her four-year-old transition with ease and will tango with a full-field of harness racing Open trotters Thursday evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The 12-dash Thursday program gets underway at 6:30 P.M. with the $2,800 Open trot hitting the track in race 9.
Incredible Two has won a pair of Open Trots all ready in 2022 from three outings and has drawn post 4 on Thursday for trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault and owner Wade Peconi of Stanchel. The four-year-old has to take on all the top trotters on the Eastern Seaboard again Thursday including overall Red Shores Charlottetown track trotting record holder Cheeky Little Minx (Lucky Chucky), who makes her 2022 debut from post 6 for trainer-driver Gilles Barrieau.
Aged Trotting Gelding track record holder Freddie (by Majestic Son, To be driven by Marc Campbell) is saddled with post 8 this week as he looks to replicate his Open Trot victory from June 2. Top trotting mare Daisy River has post 3 from the William Lanigan stable with Jason Hughes in the bike for the second start of the season for seven-year-old daughter of Nikes Image.
Former Atlantic Triple Crown winner Windmeredontuworry (Armbro Barrister) has post 2 with Corey MacPherson at the lines of the seven-year-old chestnut while Sailor Blue (Windmeredontuworry) leaves from post 5 after a solid pair of second place finishes from the Jeff Holmes stable with Ken Murphy in the seat.
Also in the field are Dawson Springs (Cantab Hall, David Dowling) and Glider Man (Yankee Glide, Damian MacLellan).
Peter MacPhee likes Incredible Two on top of the Post Time Picks.
“Incredible Two is off to an incredible start and has won two of three in the Open trot. Moves to the middle and Kenny will have her well spotted so there’s a good chance they win again.”
The top pace of the night is in race 11 for a $3,200 pot with Vines To Heaven (Rock N Roll Heaven) leaving from post 1 for driver MacPherson and trainer George Rennison. Her top rivals are set to be Dreamfair Zenfire (Campbell) and Ladylike (Dowling).
