The Tintin In America gelding Chicago Gangster is proving a smart two-year-old – he has won two of his four starts to date – and could develop into one of the best his age this harness racing season.

Chicago Gangster gave another sample of his class when he out-sprinted his rivals in the Group 3 $30,600 Tatlow Stakes at Menangle in a career-best 1:54, roaring home in 55.6 seconds.

Tintin In America, a member of the Yirribee Pacing Stud roster, has now sired five individual two-year-old winners this season.

He was also represented by the three-year-old Tash’s Spartan, a winner in 1:57.5 at Wagga.

The North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon sired three of the six divisional winners of the Buckeye Stallion Series at Scioto Downs, Ohio in Pearl Snaps (1:50.8), Odds On Capitalism (1:53) and The Fear Is Real (1:55).

Fear The Dragon has left the winners of more than $500,000 this year.

Hurricane Hustler, a first crop son of former world champion Warrawee Needy, continues to fly the flag for his sire in Victoria. The entire overwhelmed his opposition at the Melton midweek meeting at a 1:55.8 rate and has now won four of his seven lifetime starts.

Meanwhile, Warrawee Needy sired a smart winner in Canada recently in the three-year-old Just Call Me Pete (1:58.6).
