Three-wide move wins 100,000€ UET Masters

Earl Simon (8m Prodigious-Tindrana-Insert Gede) continued his comeback after missing all of 2021, with a victory in the Gr. I UET Trotting Masters Kymi Grand Prix at Kofola, Finland.

Off at 2.67/1 odds from post one Earl Simon and reinsman Franck Ouvrie took a seat initially and got shuffled to third until he followed cover and forced out on the backside.

This became a three-wide surge to engage the leaders and once clear he powered to victory timed in 1.12.5kr over a rain-soaked course.

This victory was worth 100,000€ to the winner of this 2100 meter autostart event. Earl Simon now sports a 21-6-8 slate in 41 career starts and he has five wins in six 2022 appearances. His career earnings advanced to 1,027,185€ with the victory for owner Ecurie Skytten, trainer Jarmo Niskanen and breeder Gunnar Sunbaum.

Second home today was 4.9/1 Oscar L.A. (6m Ready Cash-Esperance-Abano As) handled by Joakim Lovgren with third earned by 12.4/1 Calle Crown (8m Great Challenger-Hillary Crown-Victor Victor) reined by Ken Ecce for trainer Tomas Malmqvist.
