Newton, Illinois, USA — June 21, 2022 – One day after Father’s Day, Randall Dooley won a harness racing event named in memory of his dad.
Lous Diablo (Lou’s Legacy – Whatsamata Hanover – Muscles Yankee) trained and driven by Harold Finn Jr. for owner Randall Dooley of Hidalgo, Illinois, won the Steve Dooley Memorial at the Jasper County Fair Monday afternoon in the Illinois Big Ten Colt Stakes for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings. Steve, who passed away last December, had selected Lous Diablo from the 2021 Illini Classic Yearling Sale.
Flacco Family Farms LLC bred the winner, who is a gelded son of reigning Illinois Trotting Stallion of the Year Lou’s Legacy (Windsong’s Legacy – Lady Love McBur – Meadow Road).
