Nicolas Bazire was the pilot for owner Yannck Desmet and trainer Jean Michel Bazire. Gently, off as the 1.1/1 odds favoriye, won for the 12th time in his career now for 250,350€ earned. The 8.9/1 Fantasia de Ligny (7f Ready Cash) rallied for second a length back with Matthieu Abrivard up. Third home was 4.2/1 Gangster du Wallon (6m Lets Go Along) that overcame a 25 meter handicap for driver Alexis Collette.
On June 18 at Vincennes the Prix Eudora (purse 65,000€, 2700 meters, 7-10 year old European eligibles) went to the impressive 1.1/1 favorite Kennedy (7m Joke Face-Lisa America) handled by Gabriele Gelormini for trainer H.E. Bondo and Stall Panamera Racing. This was the winner’s seventh win in France now for life earnings of 300,060€. He was won five in a row and seven of this last nine starts. Race time was 1.12.5kr. The 6/1 Heading Reference (8g Scarlet Knight) was second with Jean Michel Bazire up for KIV Holdings. The 2.2/1 Charly de Launay (10g Qualimo de Vandel) was third for trainer/driver Junior Guelpa.
In the monte headliner, the Prix Paul Delanoe (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2175 meters, European 6-10 year olds), the 1.8/1 favorite Freeman de Houelle (7m Vigove-Rafina de Houelle) scored for jockey Eric Raffin, trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Stephane Gohier. Chalimar de Guez (10g Nahar de Beval) was second at 19/1 with J.Y. Ricart in the irons for trainer J.M. Bazire. The 3.3/1 Diamant de Treabat (9g Kuadro Wild) was third with Clement Frecelle up for owner/trainer Pascal Monthule.
