On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.
In Harnesslink Race Replays Of The Week we bring you a snapshot into the very best contests from around the harness racing tracks of the world.
Here’s our latest offering from the last seven days (week ended 26th of June)
AMERICAN FEATURE
The Currier & Ives feature for 3-year-old filly harness racing trotters took place on Saturday at The Meadows. It proved to be a very competitive feature with a stakes equaling time needed to capture the win. Palermo Hanover (Father Patrick – Personal Style) proved the horse for the job as a patient Mike Wilder drive got the business done late. Watch the feature replay below.
CANADIAN FEATURE
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on some of the two-year-old racing coming out of Woodbine Mohawk park on Friday last week with the smart Moment Is Here (All Bets Off) possibly one to follow. The Trevor Henry driven prospect impressed finding the line late up the pegs to score in 1:53.4. The time proving one of the fastest times we’ve seen this season from the age-group. Watch the impressive display below.
AUSTRALIAN FEATURE
Amanda Rando reported on a cracking Redcliffe card on Saturday which saw a number of feature events contested. The $106,070 Redcliffe Gold Cup proved to be one of the great highlights of the night with the Michelle Phillips driven Sebs Choice capturing the Group 1 title. After a good standing start beginning Sebs Choice led all the way to score in fine style. Watch the feature replay below.
We’ll be back next week with more race replays
