Harness racing driver J. Brandon Campbell had a standout day at Century Downs on Saturday (Jul. 23) with six victories and three place finishes across the 10-race program.

Campbell struck in the first race with Subzero (Sixdaysontheroad, 1:56.1) in a front-end jog. He strung together a natural grand slam in races four through seven with Katie Lou (Vertical Horizon, 1:58), B Special (Mystery Chase, 1:59), Chaste Forever (Mystery Chase, 1:53.3), and Kill A Dragon (Custard The Dragon, 1:56.4).
The reinsman completed his six-win performance by piloting Knockin Boots (Santanna Blue Chip) to a maiden-breaking score in 1:56.4.
Campbell is now third in the drivers’ standings with 38 total wins.
His only absence was in the day’s dash for two-year-olds. Michael Hennessy steered Missionized (Jk Royal Flush) to a debut victory in 1:58.4. Handcuffed (Captive Audience, Nathan Sobey) finished two-and-three-quarter lengths adrift in second. Tiny Storm (Mystery Chase, Jean-Francois Gagne) was third.
Missionized is the sixth foal and fifth winner from the As Promised mare Kg Mist. Rodney Hennessy, a resident of Falun, trains the filly and co-owns her with Lorne Duffield of Edmonton.
Century Downs will resume live racing on Friday, Jul. 29.
