Grove City, OH – The second leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes began Monday night (Jul. 25) at MGM Northfield Park as two-year-old harness racing filly pacers took to the Flying Turns. There were three $40,000 divisions.

Fear Of Sports and driver Tyler Smith

In the first division, Lofty Treasure (Beachtrea) rallied from fifth place around the final turn, swinging three wide and shot down the stretch to win by a head in 1:54.2.

Tony Hall raced the filly to the lead off the gate but was shuffled back to fifth until the final stretch run.  Cory Mumford trains and Frank Chick owns Lofty Treasure who won for the first time in four stats.

Onederfulbeach finished second with Calgary third.

LOFTY TREASURE REPLAY

In the second division, Fear Of Sports (Fear The Dragon) grabbed the lead just past the quarter pole in :28.1 and never looked back cruising to an easy three-length victory in a new lifetime mark of 1:52.2.

Tyler Smith drove the filly for trainer Kelly O’Donnell.  Emerald Highland Farms owns Fear Of Sports who has hit the board in all four of her starts with two wins and two seconds.

Elvette Hanover was second, while More The Merrier finished third.
