Huntsville sons headline $106,000 NYSS

Vernon Downs will play host to two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old harness racing pacing colts and geldings on Friday (August 12).

Thunder Hunter Joe (Huntsville-Thunder Angel) and driver Austin Siegelman) are the 6-5 morning line choice in the $52,500 first division.  The gelding is trained by Nicholas Devita.  He has two second place finishes in two lifetime starts.  Both were in NYSS races.

The Erica Chartrand trained Blue Hunt (Huntsville-All On Top Hanover) and driver Wally Hennessey are the 9-5 second morning line choice.  The gelding has two lifetime wins. He got NYSS wins at Saratoga and Tioga Downs.

Human Cocktail (Huntsville-Lotsa Natzah) and driver Jim Morrill Jr.) are the 2-1 morning line favorite in the $53,500 second division.  Gareth Dowse trains the colt.  He has three wins in four lifetime starts including a NYSS win at Batavia.

American Fling (American Ideal-Feeling You) and driver Jason Bartlett) are the 5-2 second choice.  The gelding is trained by Edward Hart.  He has NYSS wins at Tioga Downs, Yonkers, Buffalo, and Saratoga.
