Aint No Angel (Raging Bull) has the form and the draw to start the first Southland meeting in a while off on the right note for harness racing trainer Brad Williamson.

Williamson heads south with three live chances who will step out at Wyndham on Thursday (Aug. 11) following the province’s short winter hiatus from racing.

Smart filly Aint No Angel brings all the right form to race 4 following tidy efforts in competitive races at Addington.

As respective as her last start fifth behind the talented Donmaro was, her trainer is expecting to see much more from her on Thursday.

“She trialled up nicely at Oamaru, before that she ran a really good third and then in her last run she probably went into it a little bit short because we had had a bit of flooding,” Williamson said.

“All of my horses were just a little bit short on the night in hindsight.”

“But going into this race she had a nice pipe opener at the trials last weekend.”

“She seems well and she has drawn well and she should be hard to beat.”

“Spirit Of Arion trialled every bit as good as she did though and I think he is the main danger, for sure.”

Williamson also lines up Simone Lindenny (Love You) who has been freshened after a last start mistake.

The trainer is hopeful the four-year-old can bring her manners to race 6.

“She is a trotter that just needs a bit of experience, she has got ability.”

“She is really just lacking race day experience still.”

“But I think she will trot and I think she is an eachway chance.”

Anteros (Love You) hasn’t threatened in two runs for the Williamson barn ahead of race 1.

But the horse has the ability to go better than he has been showing recently.

“He has got ability, but he is frustrating, he is not that easy to drive at the races.”

“He wants to run a bit and he is a big, strong horse.”

“He wouldn’t be without a show, I think Johnny Walker is the one to beat.”

“But if he was mistake-free he is a pretty good chance of running top-three.”

Goyougoodthing (A Rocknroll Dance) clearly looks the best of Williamson’s outside drives at Thursday’s meeting.

The three-year-old brings smart trial form to his debut in race 5.
