Down Under Winners from North America – 17th August

The Art Major gelding All U Need Is Faith NZ pushed his harness racing earnings over the half-million dollar mark when he emerged successful in a $20,000 Open Handicap at Plainridge Park, Massachusetts on Monday (August 8).

After exploding from the gait, the gelding handed up briefly before regaining the top. Locked in his two-horse war down the backstretch, All U Need Is Faith eventually gained the upper hand and drew clear to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:50.4.

On the same card former NSW pacer Major Crisis (Art Major), who led, and Tuapeka Trick (Bettor’s Delight) NZ dead-heated in 1:53.6.

Mach Le More (Mach Three), a six-year-old Australian-bred, matched his lifetime mark of 1:52 set in his previous start, when he led throughout in a $16,000 Open at Saratoga Raceway, New York on Saturday night (August 14).

It was Mach Le More’s third Open score for the season.
