HARRINGTON, DE – Roy Parker Jr.’s Nikasa N (Bettor’s Delight) and harness racing driver Montrell Teague were a decisive wire-to-wire winner in the $20,000 Mares Open Tuesday (Sep. 6) at Harrington Raceway in 1:54.4 on a sloppy racetrack.

The strategy was never in question as driver Teague promptly stepped on the gas from post three and placed Nikasa N on the front end where she would cruise through fractions of 27, 56 and 1:25.
She had opened up multiple lengths on the field at the top of the stretch and was under confident handling to the wire in her three-length score over Anneke and Designed To Dance.
Trained by Eddie Dennis, it was the 4th win of the year for the 6-year-old mare who paid $7.40 to win.

The victory also gave Teague a double on the program, joining Victor Kirby, Ross Wolfenden and Allan Davis.
