Sweden Kriterium and Oaks elims at Solvalla

Six colt and three filly Kriterium and Oaks eliminations were held Friday night (Sept. 9) at Solvalla, each colt tussle raced over 2640 meters autostart for 150,000SEK first money and the fillies raced 2140 meters autostart for the same 150,000SEK first prize.

The colt winners were Mister Jupiter (3m Ready Cash-Bagdad Dream-Yankee Glide) timed in 1.13.6kr and reined by Jorma Kontio for trainer Timo Nurmos and owner/breeder Jean Pierre Barjon. This one has a six-race career slate of 5-1-0. He was off as the 1.1/1 odds favorite.

Ante La Roque (3m Uncle Lasse-Stormie de Vie-Kadabra) took another elimination timed in 1.13.1kr to improve his 16-race slate to 1-3-4. Orjan Kihlstrom teamed the Daniel Reden trainee that was off at 5.3/1 odds.

The 1.2/1 Bedazzled Sox (3m Brillantissime-Out Of The Kitchen-Here Comes Herbie) took his division timed in 1.13.1kr to improve his slate to 9-4-0 in 12 starts. Torbjorn Jansson teamed this Roger Walmann trainee

The other three eliminations for the colts went to 2.2/1 Global Deputy (3m Broadway Hall-Global Princess-Lindy Lane) timed in 1.1.4.0kr for driver Magnus A. Djuse and trainer Fredrik Wallin to record his first win in 13 starts; Greensboro Zet (3m Father Patrick-Bostonz Credit-Credit Winner) also scored timed in 1.13.1kr with Orjan Kihlstrom up for trainer Daniel Reden at 5.1/1 odds, his fourth win in seven outings; Following (3m Nuncio-Tweet Hanover-Cantab Hall) took the sixth division at 2.2/1 odds timed in 1.12.9kr for trainer Stefan Melander and driver Bjorn Goop as this one improved his 10 race slate to 6-1-1.

There were three filly Oaks eliminations and those winners were 5.3/1 Aurelia Express (3f Readly Express-Godiva Boko-Make It Happen) timed in 1.13.4kr with Erik Adielsson up for trainer Timo Nurmos, her third career victory in seven starts; the 49.3/1 odds outsider Joy Sisu (3f Brillantissime-Southwind Elize-Conway Hall) took her elim timed in 1.13.0kr for pilot Mika Forss and trainer Salmela Petri; the final Oaks elim went to 10.7/1 Queen Belina (3f Nuncio-First Love Boko-Muscle Yankee)  timed in 1.13.2kr with trainer Jorgen Westholm at the lines.
