Harness racing hits Methven again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:00pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Tu Tangata (7) Ran a nice fourth last fresh in a strong field and grass suits. Top selection
A Late Late Pressy (8) Getting better with racing and nice third last start. Could surprise
The Fiery Countess (3) Has trialled well on the track in the past. One for longer odds.

Race 2

Manyara (6) Stable does well on grass and good here at trials. Winning claims
Trouble Supreme (8) Local runner with consistent form. Should be thereabouts again
Killarney Dance (10) Second last start and goes ok on grass. Needed in this field

Race 3

Michael Caine (5) Has form and trainer has a good record here. Major player in this race
I’m Your Huckleberry (7) Will be improved from last campaign. Has the speed to win
Cheekygrin (4) Has raced ok on grass in the past. Good beginner who can place here

Race 4

Watching Our Coin (3) Has grass track form and drawn ok.Can improve on last start fourth
The Rage (5) Good third last start and will be fitter. One of the better chances in this field
Bettorlini (4) Quick beginner who likes the grass surface. Top four player here

Race 5

Ginas Majesty (5) Improving trotter with a good draw. Should be right in it
Majestic Whisper (13) Will be running on and grass suits. Can win with manners
Jerry Garcia (7) Grinding sort of trotter who might be the leader. Will not be far away

Race 6

Fernleigh Blackbird (2) In the money on both grass track runs. Top selection here
Gana (7) Normally steps ok and will be running on. Could surprise at longer odds
Grinning Again (4) Has not had much luck in recent outings. One for longer odds

Race 7

Teds Legacy (5) Good run last start and grass no issues. Hard to beat here
Happy Place (8) Going well since coming South. Strike rate driver on and can win
Mossdale Mac (11) First grass track run but racing well Will need luck but winning claims

Race 8

Nyla (10) Past winner on grass with trainer change and top driver booked. Include
Best Trio (4) Had excuses last start and well placed in this. Should be hard to beat
Times Are A Changin (9) Tricky draw but grass suits. Will be running on in this

Race 9

Mossdale Terry (5) Raced well against a strong field last start. Top selection in this
Arizonawildcat (1) Quick beginner who is a good chance at longer odds. Include
Foveaux Gambler (9) Can not ignore the form. Hard to beat again in this field

Race 10

Majestic Rollon (12) Racing well and manners the only concern. Big chance if she steps
Ali Lindenny  (2) Good beginner who races well on grass. Can stick on for a place
DD’s Super Stuart (8) Grass suits and he will be finishing on here. One for longer odds

Race 11

Franco Stefan (2) Racing well and looks the early leader. Winning claims
Sister’s Delight (1) Draw suits and grass stats good. Can run top three with luck
He’s Tough (8) Ran some good races last campaign and coming back fresh. Include
