Harness racing’s 2020 O’Brien Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year On A Streak has arrived at Luke and Belinda McCarthy’s Cobbitty Equine Farm in NSW.
On A Streak will stand his first ever season, after being purchased outright by Haras des Trotteurs in July this year.
In a reverse twist, On A Streak’s frozen semen will be sent to the Northern Hemisphere from Australia in 2023.
The brilliant young trotter with outstanding temperament has one of the best trotting pedigrees in North America.
Not only was On A Streak an O’Brien Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year and a brother to an O’Brien Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year, their dam Habits Best (Muscles Yankee US) has four in 1.55 and six in 2 minutes from eight foals while the second dam – Habit (Supergill US) has six in 1:55.0 and 11 in 2 minutes from 13 foals and that is just from the first two dams. The family just run!
It was On A Streak’s package of performance, pedigree, looks and especially temperament that sealed the deal of Haras des Trotteurs and he is now available to both Australia & New Zealand breeders.
