Dayton, Ohio – Now with two wins in-a-row, Rich N Ponderous (The Ponderosa), previously a maiden, has found her groove at Dayton Raceway. On Wednesday (Oct. 13) the filly scored again in the featured $15,000 Hollywood Dayton Mini-Series Final for filly and mare pacers.

The conditioned Mini-Series for nonwinners of one parimutuel race or $10,000 lifetime had a single qualifying leg before the top five finishers in each division were invited back to compete in the final.
Driven by Kayne Kauffman, Rich N Ponderous left from post eight with strength and speed. The 3-year-old filly went straight to the front and never looked back. As the 8-5 second choice, Rich N Ponderous posted fractions in :28, :57, and 1:25.2 before stopping the clock in 1:55.2.
Blue Riggin Girl (Jeremy Smith) finished second while Dt Pet Attack (Scott Cisco) completed the trifecta.
RICH N PONDEROUS REPLAY
Trained by Kim Dailey, Rich N Ponderous has tallied her only two lifetime wins in her last two starts in the conditioned Mini-Series. This season alone, the filly has more than tripled her career earnings. With the latest victory, Rich N Ponderous has banked upwards of $30,000 lifetime. She is co-owned by her conditioner as well as Todd Woodruff of Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
Live racing will resume Thursday (Oct. 14) at Dayton Raceway with first post at 4:00PM. For more information on the facility and live racing season, visit here.
